A good Bill Vigoda cover, he was the workhorse at Archie during this time...

At a time when Archie Comics was trying to downplay their sexuality a bit, Laugh Comics was the place to go for a more 'relaxed' view of the world of Archie. Even when Bill Vigoda was drawing it!

Yeah... surprised you didn't see more of this actually...And Jughead seems to be enjoying it even more than Archie!

Ginger was also featured in the book was Harry Lucey was making the transition between superhero/crime and the world of Archie style art. I'd say he managed ok!

Archie in a trance, Veronica playing for attention, Betty mad, and Jughead eating... there's a cover to the world of Archie!
(from Laugh Comics #58 - June 9, 1953, artwork by Bill Vigoda)
Yep... Harry Lucey knew what he was doing...

Jeez...Betty and Veronica catfighting...in 1953!! They definitely couldn't get away with that today; but for a kid's comic, that is sizzlingly hot! And with Archie and jughead as a couple of peepers - too funny!
