Let's get caught up on our Laugh Comics!
Vintage Vigoda Betty on the cover... always annoyed at Veronica and Archie's relationship...
(from Laugh Comics #59 - August 19th, 1953, artwork by Bill Vigoda)
Harry Lucey art accentuated n dialogue by the fact that Ginger isn't dressed yet!
(from Laugh Comics #59 - August 19th, 1953, artwork by Harry Lucey)
Here's an underrated CLASSIC cover, simply because of the look on Veronica's face at what Jughead is saying. She's caught, she's guilty... but she likes it! That's hard to portray sometimes, but very clearly done here...
They'd reuse this gag twice, though not exactly as it's done here...

(from Laugh Comics #62 - February 18th, 1954, artwork by Samm Scwartz? Not sure, but it looks somewhat like his Jughead...)
Archie #103 in 1959 (drawn by Harry Lucey)....
(this one is also great, for a number of different reasons...)
and Wilbur #75 drawn by Joe Edwards?
Yeah... Harry Lucey knew how to draw Ginger for sure...
(from Laugh Comics #62 - February 18th, 1954, artwork by Harry Lucey)
Another feature in Laugh Comics at the time was Wilbur. Almost an exact self ripoff of Archie, they did their best to keep this strip alive for decades.
(from Laugh Comics #62 - February 18th, 1954, artwork by Joe Edwards)
Archie's been known to over stay his welcome!
(from Laugh Comics #64 - June 14th, 1954, artwork by Harry Lucey? It's that Veronica I think that gives it away...)
