FAST WILLIE JACKSON
on newsstands August of 1976?
Special Saturday Special!

Fitzgerald Publications' Fast Willie Jackson was an attempt to tap into the Archie Comics market, and if you've never seen these before... they are a must own for fans of the genre.

Yeah, the stories are... not what you'd expect, and probably... well, WOULDN'T be published in most Archie Comics of the day, but, the art is great. Drawn by someone named Gus Lemoine, there's long been a rumor that it was actually humor artist Henry Scarpelli.

Lasting only 7 issues, it's worth checking out! See these highlights and a short story from it below!

  2. By the way, Fitzgerald Publishing was a black owned company, that specialized in publishing Black History comics...Benjamin Banner, Crispus Attucks, Frederick Douglass...kind of an African-American Classics Illustrated.
